The surface cleaning, pickling and passivation of garden lattice not only maximizes corrosion resistance, but also prevents product contamination and obtains aesthetics. In GBl50-1998 "Steel Pressure Vessel", "the surface of the garden lattice and the container made of composite steel plate with anti-corrosion requirements should be pickled and passivated". This regulation is for the pressure vessels used in petrochemical industry, because these equipments are used in the occasions that are in direct contact with corrosive medium, and in order to ensure corrosion resistance, it is proposed that pickling passivation is necessary. For other industrial sectors, if it is not for anti-corrosion purposes, it is only based on the requirements of cleanliness and aesthetics, and stainless steel materials do not need pickling and passivation. However, pickling and passivation is also required for the welds of stainless steel decorative mesh equipment. For nuclear engineering, some chemical plants and other applications with strict requirements, in addition to pickling and passivation, high-purity media should be used for fine cleaning or finishing treatments such as mechanical, chemical and electrolytic polishing.
